Mi Karaköy & Mi Eminönü

SUBJECT : Illustration of a narrative map of the Karaköy and Eminönü neighborhoods in Istanbul as part of the illustrator's final architectural project. The map traces a ten-day stay in the city, with a focus on these two neighborhoods.

METHOD :

• Land survey, walks, photos, informal meetings

• In situ experiments to analyze the uses of the place

• Note taking, synthesis, writing the story to be told, defining the format and framing of the map

• Illustration of the map which transcribes the history of the place, its uses, the encounters

• Research workshop around the uses and presentation of the card, invitation of the people involved to observe the card, to discuss
